CSI IP Reputation Remediation Portal
Email Administrators:
What is the Cloudmark Sender Intelligence (CSI) service?
- Cloudmark Sender Intelligence™ (CSI) is a comprehensive global sender monitoring and analysis system that delivers timely and accurate reputation on good, bad, and suspect senders. CSI uses real-time data from Cloudmark's Global Threat Network™ system to create the industry's most comprehensive sender reputation service.
How did my server's IP address get listed on CSI
- IP addresses are added to CSI when Cloudmark has observed sufficient traffic from it to generate reliable reputation data. This data is also complimented by feedback from the Global Threat Network. Typically, negative reputation is derived for an IP address when many spam messages are sent from that source or too many spam complaints are registered against messages emanating from that source.
What are the criteria for having an IP address removed from the CSI list?
- Cloudmark only provides statistics reset and not IP address removal as CSI is a reputation service, not a block list. It contains reputation information for any IP address seen by the Global Threat Network which includes good, bad, and suspect senders.
What is the process of having the statistics of an IP address reset in CSI?
- Complete the IP statistics reset request form. You should receive an automated email confirmation message.
- Respond to the email confirmation message.
- First request to reset statistics will typically be honored.
- Subsequent requests to reset statistics will be investigated by Cloudmark.
- We typically process requests within one business day of receipt.
How long will it take to have the statistics for my IP address reset?
- Statistics reset requests are typically processed within 24 hours after the email confirmation message has been received.
How will I know if the statistics for an IP address has been reset?
- When the statistics for an IP address have been reset, an email notification will be sent to the email address you submitted in your original request.
How come my IP address is being blocked again after its statistics has been reset?
- Even though previous statistics have been reset for the IP addresses, Cloudmark continually gathers new statistical information on senders. The reputation of the IP may be negatively impacted if it continues to send spam messages or if additional spam complaints for this IP address are received.
